Android chrome keeps downloading pages

I use opera and it reloads tabs a lot. I even had just one tab open and it still reloads. My phone has 1gb of ram and it is android 8. Terrible article. Android doesnt cause reloading. Chrome is notorious for auto reloading pages. Everyone hates the function. Google apparently put it there to annoy everyone.

Yes, of course Opera Mini also reloads pages if you switch tabs. If more people complained about this it would actually probably be fixed but.. Has anyone tried reporting this to the vendors? I wll report it to Samsung. Your email address will not be published. Skip to content. Previous Previous. Next Continue. Now that you know some of the possible reasons as to why Chrome keeps crashing on your device, the following methods will teach you how to fix the issue on your device.

Once the issue is fixed, Chrome will work buttery smooth and you will be able to enjoy all of your favorite websites in the browser without a single issue. Method 6. The first and the most basic thing you can do to possibly fix the issue is to reboot your device. Rebooting your device clears some of the temporary files sitting on your device and this helps give your device and Chrome a fresh start. Rebooting any of the Android devices is pretty easy as all you need to do is press and hold down the Power button for a few seconds and choose Reboot to restart your device.

When the device restarts, launch Chrome and see if the issue persists or it is gone for good. Like many other apps on your device, Chrome also saves data and cache files on your device to serve you with its functionalities. However, if you have allowed Chrome to do this since the beginning, you may have likely gathered many temporary files on your device. If that is the case, you may want to clear the data and cache files for Chrome on your device.

Doing so will release the old files, make space for new files, and will help give the browser a boost for its performance. Then it will clear both the data files and cache files for Chrome on your device. While the app updates are aimed at fixing existing bugs and issues with the app on your device, sometimes these updates are the cause of the issue. If you are installing Chrome after getting it from an authorized source, you should try disabling antivirus for a while.

Then try to install Chrome. You can also check your firewall settings and see if something is wrong. At times, the download path is pointing to an invalid location. To fix it, you have to change its download location. Step 1: Launch the Edge browser and click on the three-dot icon at the top.

Select Settings from the menu. Step 2: Scroll down in the General section, and you will find Downloads. Click on Change and choose a valid location. Who would have thought that someone would suggest using the old Internet Explorer as a fix? Well, as they say, old is gold.

If the new Edge browser is giving you trouble, Internet Explorer will come to your rescue. Use the search to find it and then download Chrome using it. If you are running Windows 10 S edition , then you can install apps from Microsoft Store only. That might be the reason why Chrome installation is failing for you.
